"When we founded our company Killet GeoSoftware Ing.-GbR, KilletSoft for short, 33 years ago, I never thought that the American space agency NASA would one day purchase geodetic software from us," says geodesist, software developer and managing director Fred Killet.
"We are honored that we may provide our geodetic software to NASA, even though they have a very large team of in-house software developers", he adds.
NASA has acquired several licenses for the TRANSDATpro and SEVENPAR programs.
The TRANSDATpro program performs high-accuracy geodetic coordinate transformations and datum shifts worldwide.
The SEVENPAR program is used to model Helmert Seven Parameter Sets from identical points in two reference systems.
"Obviously, the solid quality of our software has convinced the responsible departments of this important U.S. agency," suspects Fred Killet.
NASA stands for National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
Founded in 1958 and headquartered in Washington D.C., NASA has the worldwide largest research budget for aerospace technologies.
